$495.00
See “Description” tab below for full discussion of the Majesty, Wisdom, & Plenty Jupiter in Piscestalismans.
Of the Nature of Jupiter in Pisces, these talismans were created with the intention of enhancing dignity and magnanimity, deepening wisdom, and calling in wealth and abundance.
These talismans of the Greater Benefic would be appropriate for a wide range of people. We would recommend folks with a highly afflicted natal Jupiter (e.g., combust, hard aspects to malefics) perform divination in advance to see if this talisman would be a good fit.

Description
One of the ancient epithets of the Greater Benefic is Jupiter Acraeus, He Who Dwells on the Heights: perfect for the Summit collection, and perfect for this talisman. The significations of Majesty, Wisdom, & Plenty were judiciously chosen to encompass the primary virtues and gifts of Jupiter—those wondrous, benefic gifts that almost everyone could benefit from.
Jupiter, who presides over kings and courts, affords the dignity and power of royalty. He inspires us to greater heights. Majesty.
Jupiter, of truth and grace, watcher of oaths, ushers us toward the divine. He uplifts our knowledge and principles. Wisdom.
Jupiter, the distributor, the generous one, rain-giver, enriches our coffers as well as our spirits. He distributes lots and bestows riches. Plenty.
Ensouled shortly after Jupiter entered into Pisces, these talismans capture the buoyancy of the ingress, enhancing the magical potency of these stones. The election carried the intent of enhancing dignity and magnanimity, deepening wisdom, and calling in wealth and abundance for the bearers of these talismans.
Marsilio Ficino held that astrological talismans affect us primarily through altering our spirit to render us more divine such that we become reasons and causes for the operation of the heavens upon the earth. These Majesty, Wisdom, & Plenty talismans embody the blessings and the burdens of this kind of transformation.
In the context of the Summit collection, the Majesty, Wisdom, & Plenty talismans represent the halcyon achievements of those who have earned their place at the crown of the world. They represent attainment of power and wealth alloyed with the sagacity to wield these dangerous instruments judiciously, with prudence and benevolence.
These magical artifacts are not the weapons of gold-hoarding dragons or dictatorial despots. They are the aegis of the kindly sovereign, the boon of the generous and sheltering kingdom.
When we climb to the highest heights, we necessarily change our relationship to the valleys below—we see them in new ways, and also become removed from them in others. (On this point, you may take notice of the late Aquarius Moon in this election.)
It is noteworthy that many of the ancient epithets of Jupiter emphasize a fatherly protective role: he was, among other things, worshipped as the Guardian of Public Places, Presider Over Sacred Feasts, Deliverer, Who Presides Over Hearths and Hospitality, Bringer of Relief to the Needy.
We mention this in part because the petition for these talismans emphasized our role in serving Jupiter, magnifying his honors through our righteous efforts. Choosing to connect with this talisman may very well mean stepping into a role of service and stewardship—becoming a conduit for the gifts of Jupiter to flow both to you and through you, like the proverbial rising tide that raises all ships.
Thus, although this is most definitely a Wealth Talisman with all that entails, the Plenty that this talisman may bring you must be understood to be yoked to the mantle of Wisdom that recognizes that the suffering of one entails the suffering of all. The riches of kings become a curse when they come at the expense of an impoverished kingdom beyond the castle.

Essential Features of the Election
For planetary astromagical elections, we require that the relevant planet either rises on the Ascendant or culminates on the Midheaven during the relevant planetary hour. This election featured a dignified Jupiter in his domicile of Pisces culminating on the Midheaven. Jupiter hour had just begun mere minutes before Jupiter would reach the MC, and the working took place while Jupiter was within 5 degrees of the MC.
Planetary elections also require the Moon to be in sufficiently good condition. In this election, the Moon was unafflicted and moving quickly through her own decan in the 27th degree of Aquarius, applying to a conjunction with Jupiter within 4 degrees. The Moon was waxing, which augments the workings of the election: Picatrix notes that for workings “in which you desire to cause increase” it is best to find the Moon increasing in light.
Since the 1st house signifies the bearer of the talisman, we also look at the condition of the Lord of the Ascendant in planetary elections to ensure there are no afflictions that would detract from the bearer’s experience. This election spanned Gemini and Cancer rising. Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, was unafflicted in Aquarius. The Moon, the ruler of Cancer, was unafflicted and in her face, as noted above.
Further Magical Factors of the Election
Both Luna and Mercury were ruled by Saturn, who was highly dignified by domicile and triplicity, lending some power and severity to this election. The Part of Fortune was in the 2nd house, adding a nice boost to favor concerning issues of money and resources.
Also, planets that have just recently entered a sign are considered in astrological magic to have some extra power. In only the second degree of Pisces, Jupiter was very auspiciously placed in this election.
Both malefic planets, Saturn and Mars, were in cadent houses and not aspecting Jupiter or the Moon, vastly reducing any impact they could have on this election.
Reflection on Weaknesses of the Election
In terms of the essential and big picture factors, this is an excellent magical election. Down in some minor details, we can see that the Ascendant and the Moon were in the later degrees of their sign at the outset of the election and in the terms of Mars. The Moon’s dignity somewhat makes up for this minor indignity, but in a perfect world we would like to evacuate any malefic influence from a benefic election. Also, the Moon and Jupiter were at the bendings of the nodes. This has not been a significant affliction in our own magic so far as we have been able to tell, but if you are sensitive to such matters, we highlight this just in case.

Ceremonial Details
Gemstone & Talismanic Image
The talismans themselves were created from natural high-quality amethyst cabochons. Amethyst is attested in the tradition of astrological magic as a stone of Jupiter by Israel Hibner and William Lilly. Albertus Magnus says of the amethyst that it “confers a good understanding of what is knowable,” a signification that augments the Majesty and Wisdom significations. We also note that amethyst was chosen in part because of the Moon-Jupiter conjunction: with two planets on the MC, a stone must be chosen that strictly belongs to one or the other, lest the working risk creating a chimeric talisman that would vie for significations of both planets, achieving none. Our sources attest amethyst for Jupiter and Mars, but not one source assigns it to the Moon, making it a very safe choice for this election.
The amethyst cabochons were engraved with the “figure [of] a man having the head of a [lion] and eagles feet,” which Agrippa says is “conduceth to gain, and riches, favor, and love, peace, and concord, and to appease enemies, to confirm honors, dignities, and counsels, and dissolve enchantments.” The amethysts were also engraved with the election’s petition words. On the obverse side of the cabochons were carved the symbol of Jupiter, his seal, and the sigil of his planetary intelligence, and a mixture of gum mastic and basil leaf was affixed to the back of the talisman.
Ritual Setup
An altar spangled with blue and gold was erected to Jupiter prior to the working. Generous offerings of food and spirits were offered to Jupiter, as well as a bronze replica statue of a Minoan bull from Greece. Two live lemon cypress trees adorned the altar, as well as a dozen peacock feather tips. Offerings of flame originated from four white candles embellished with the signs of Jupiter and his planetary intelligences and consecrated to him in his planetary hour, plus two central blue candles similarly prepared. Max Richter’s reimagining of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons served as the soundtrack for the ritual.
Suffumigation
An incense blend was mixed and consecrated to Jupiter during the same electional window as the talismans themselves, prepared according to a traditional recipe from Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy: “For Jupiter take the seeds of ash, lignum aloes, storax, [benzoin], the lazule stone [i.e., lapis lazuli], [and] the tops of the feathers of a peacock.” White ash seeds, storax, and peacock feathers were ritually pulverized during a Jupiter hour prior to the election, and mixed with powdered lignum aloes and benzoin, as well as crushed lapis lazuli and consecrated with a bespoke petition of blessing during the election. This incense was used to suffumigate the talismans themselves in the process of their ensoulment.
