At Idola Stellarum, we prize fidelity to the tradition of astrological magic and the highest standards of talismanic creations. We offer the following guarantees about our talismans:

  • Every Idola Stellarum talisman is engraved and suffumigated, and herbs affixed (when indicated), strictly during the electional windows listed for the talisman. Astrological timing forms the essential core of this art, and without it there is no distinction between astrological talismans and mundane jewelry. We consider the requirements of astrological elections with absolute sincerity and strictly abide by the temporal limitations of the art to produce talismanic jewelry to the highest standards. Precise temporal windows with a specific beginning and end will be provided for each talisman.
  • Every Idola Stellarum talisman has been created using traditional materials (gemstones, herbs, suffumigations). Any deviation from traditional sources will be explicitly described with a rationale for the innovation provided. Although we are unable to offer any absolute guarantees about our materials, we attest that we have sourced all of our gemstones with the strictest intention to use only 100% natural gemstones (undyed, unheated, untreated, not lab-created), vetting our suppliers and non-destructively testing materials prior to elections in the event that concerns arise. When sourcing herbs and suffimigations, we find organic and locally-grown herbs as frequently as we can and support fellow magical and earth-honouring purveyors of goods whenever possible.
  • Every Idola Stellarum talisman has been created under strict devotional ritual procedures, with prayers, offerings, and suffumigations made to the spirits of the relevant cosmic hierarchy. Beyond the technical details and quality of the materials, the relationship of the mage to the celestial hierarchy and their devotional practice and skill represents the next strongest determinant of the nature and power of astrological talismans, and we are continually working to tend our spirit relationships.
  • Every Idola Stellarum talisman is set in its jewelry setting either (a) during the original electional window; or, more commonly, (b) during a suitable repair election with accompanying ritual procedures appropriate to preserve the sanctity and dignity of the talisman. Divination to verify the safety and efficacy of the repair election is performed in every instance.
  • Every Idola Stellarum talismanic gemstone has been untouched by bare human skin during and subsequent to its ritual creation. All engraving, affixture of herbs, suffumigation, jewelry setting, and handling are strictly performed with nitrile gloves and appropriate tools. Barring intercession by postal authorities, our customers are always the first human beings to introduce themselves to our talismans in the flesh.
  • Every Idola Stellarum talisman has been carefully and respectfully stored under environmentally controlled conditions in our home for at least six months prior to release. This substantial waiting period allows potential unforeseen problems with the election or side effects of the talisman to come to light. Although we cannot guarantee any particular effects of our talismans for any individual person (see below), we endeavor to prudently monitor and safeguard the quality and safety of our talismanic offerings.
  • Every Idola Stellarum talisman comes with a robust informational brochure detailing its nature, the circumstances of its creation, and instructions for introducing oneself to the talisman. We value transparency in our operations and offerings, and welcome any opportunity to clarify any ambiguities and answer any questions that arise.
  • Every Idola Stellarum talisman has been researched, produced, and described without the use of generative AI or large language models. At no point in the production of any of our talismans have we used generative AI or large language models for research, logical organization, writing, analysis, or proofreading. To the extent that it is possible to know, Idola Stellarum does not cite any resources or studies that use generative AI or large language models.

Note that there are some things that although we might wish we could guarantee, we cannot. Most specifically, our customers must be aware of the following disclaimers.

  • Idola Stellarum cannot guarantee any particular results of relationship with our talismans. Although we absolutely stand by and guarantee the fidelity of our methods to the astrological magic tradition, we cannot make any guarantee about the effects, if any, that a particular person will or will not experience if they purchase a talisman. The uncertainties in the art, relative unpredictability of spirit relationship and one’s experience level, as well as the complexities of synastry with a given individual’s natal chart and the electional chart of a particular talisman, mean that it is impossible to predict exactly what will happen in any given instance.
  • Idola Stellarum particularly cannot guarantee any health outcomes related to our talismans, even in circumstances where health is a primary aim of a magical working. Health is collective and individual, and in magic, one’s shifting understanding of health can be as important an effect as physical change, though neither are guaranteed. Our talismans are not intended to diagnose nor treat any health condition, and anyone seeking medical advice or treatment should always consult with a licensed physician about any and all treatments.
  • Idola Stellarum cannot guarantee that customers will not experience any negative effects as the result of purchasing, relating to, or wearing an astrological talisman. Afflictions in one’s own natal chart may result in potentially unpleasant effects, depending on the synastry with the chart of the particular talisman and other factors; ideally and usually, these effects are temporary and lead to an adjustment period, though this cannot be predicted in advance. Also, talismans have their own sentience and agency: they may achieve particular ends through surprising means, and they may react to how they are treated, stored, or used.
  • As such, all Idola Stellarum talismans are sold as is, purchased at your own risk, and intended for entertainment purposes only.
